(CHINA AND EAST ASIA)
This is a management development position for a bright, enthusiastic and loyal Mandarin and Cantonese speaking candidate to work his or her way up the management ladder from Sales Engineer to potentially a Market Development Manager role for China and East Asia. The initial period of employment will be based in St Ives, UK but upon successful transition to Market Development Manager, China and East Asia, the post will then be based in Hong Kong, China. The transition is expected to take place within about three years.
Reporting initially to the International Sales Manager, you will join a small Sales team actively involved in the generation of business-to-business sales globally, China and East Asia particularly, for the full range of Webtec’s hydraulic products. With your engineering background, you will also provide an efficient technical, sales and marketing support service to our distributors and customers. Your role is to ensure that the right products are ordered by providing customers with the right advice and technical information.
You must have experience with international travel as this position involves frequent travel to overseas exhibitions and customer visits. You must be fluent in English and a native speaker of Cantonese and Mandarin.
You should be educated in engineering with at least two years’ work experience (post-graduation) in engineering and/or technical sales with a proven track record. It would be advantageous if you have some knowledge of the industrial or construction machinery industries. You must be organised, logical and have excellent communication and IT skills. A proactive and flexible attitude is also essential.
A management development programme will be in place once you are on board to help in your progress to Market Development Manager.
