The DHM403 is the latest addition to the popular Webster range of hydraulic test equipment. Developed primarily for field-testing of mobile machinery it allows the user to accurately measure 6 parameters simultaneously and display them all digitally on one screen. This multi-purpose testing tool combines precision flow, pressure, peak pressure and temperature measurement with the calculation of hydraulic power and a tool to measure pump volumetric efficiency at the touch of a button.

This innovative new design incorporates a pressure transducer rather than a traditional gauge thus allowing the user to measure pressure faster and more accurately. For normal operation, the unit is rated to 420 bar  / 6000 psi but the pressure transducer has 600 bar  / 8700 psi range and with a 2 ms response time it means the DHM403 is ideal for capturing pressure spikes. The DHM includes three display screens, including a trend display for times when the bigger picture is more important than the exact values.

The DHM403 includes a built-in micro-processor enabling all values to be measured with a high degree of accuracy. The DHM403 measures flows between 10 and 400 lpm / 2.6 and 100 gpm to an accuracy of better than 1% of the indicated reading.

As with all Webster testers the DHM403 benefits from the inclusion of the INTERPASS™ safety system built-in to the pressure loading valve. This ensures the user and the system are protected from the consequences of accidentally over-pressurising the system. The internal burst discs rupture within a set pressure band and allow oil to pass freely through the middle of the loading valve and out of harm’s way, preventing the pump from being damaged or a hose from rupturing, and so protecting the operator from potential injury.
